Cabrespine

Some 6 km from Villeneuve Minervois, the name of Cabrespine is known for its astonishingly giant gulf cave. Imposing dimensions of the access room: 220m from top to bottom and 70m of section (one of the world's largest). Absolutely exceptional variety of crystals of calcite and aragonite, richly coloured by metallic oxides (iron and manganese). Open to tourist visit throughout a secured circuit of the access room. Or you can opt for a more adventurous guided cave diving track of 5 hours within the depths of the gulf. (Photos of the Cave of Limousis).
